We're thrilled to present our Relay Race again that will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
Open Co-ed outrigger start at Pirate's Den, travel up the Colorado River to River Lodge and return to the start line to do a dry change where their 2nd team will complete same course.
Please reach us at jb@anothedamrace.us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
So we can accommodate the extra time, Relay teams will start during the short course.
The relay team is an open coed with a minimum of 4 women. There are only 2 divisions, unlimited and traditional OC-6.
Upon your first crew's return to Pirate's Den, the canoe needs to pass and insure the crew's time is recorded at the timing pontoon. Then they can use the shoreline near the restaurant to do a beach change. The 2nd crew will need to make sure their time is recorded as well to complete your crew's final relay time.
The strategy is left to you on how you want to seat your paddlers.
Yes! But just as the other relay crews, you are responsible to pay for all 12 seats and abide by the relay rules in order to do this race.
Unfortunately for time constraints, because the relay starts at the same time as the short course, if you want to do 2 races, you will only be able to do short course and then the long course.
This year there are no constraints as the canoe hand off occurs at Pirate's Den and you are allowed to do a land change.
